Upcoming Training
Classses
SOME Pit!’s Beginner Train-a-Bull classes are specifically
designed to help owners and their dogs build better
teamwork.  Using positive training techniques, the six-week
Beginners class focuses on the skills that pit bulls and their
owners need in order to become Breed Ambassadors.
Each class uses progressive training methods taught by
SOME Pit!'s co-founder Adam Ricci.  Adam is a certified dog
trainer who currently teaches classes for the Animal Refuge
League of Greater Portland and offers private training
sessions through his business Best Paw Forward.

Train-a-Bull classes focus on the following:

-
Basic Obedience and Handling Skills

- Fostering better communication with your dog

- Arousal/Impulse Control, including Leash Reactivity

- Breed Specific Behaviors

- Fun activities for high performance dogs

Photos from our Latest Class
and an honorable mention to Sammy who wasn't
present the night of the photos.
"My husband and I adopted a very smart pit bull named Truffle from our local shelter, knowing virtually nothing
about the breed and little about her history. My initial research about pit bulls was confusing at best - we had
no idea what the truth was, or how to handle some of her behaviors. Thank goodness I met Jessica and Some
Pit.

We met with Some Pit after Truffle bit another dog and the support we received allowed us to keep her.  To be
honest, without their help, we might have returned her to the shelter.  Some Pit has been amazing - giving us
the expert advice, on-going training classes and support, dog socialization experiences and confidence in
handling that we needed. Some Pit has made a tremendous difference in our lives and helped us to develop a
deep bond with our dog.   She even passed the American Temperament test this spring."
