Our Services
SOME Pit does not have a shelter and is not a rescue. SOME Pit is
made up of a small group of volunteers working in education and
advocacy. SOME Pit does not accept owner surrendered dogs. If
you have a dog that you need to re-home, please read this.
Humane Education
-We offer FREE humane education
presentations to local schools and service learning groups. Our
school presentations focus on dog safety for children as well as
basic dog care.
Events
- Check our event page for adoption fairs, fundraisers, and happy
hours to celebrate and promote pit bulls. We think the pit bull
families are extra special – join us for a fun gathering this year and
meet some new friends for you and your dogs!
Sit, Stay, Read with Loki CGC TDI SOME Pit! launched a new
reading dog program at the Windham Library with Loki CGC TDI.
Once a month Loki and Michelle visit the library and work with kids
grades 1-5, who sign up in advance, to read to Loki. A trained
reading education assistance dog, Loki loves spending time with
children in this exciting new program! If you'd like to sign your child
up to read with Loki, please contact Ms. Laurel Parker, Children's
Librarian, at the Windham Library
