Welcome to Southern Maine Pit Bulls (SOME PIT)!

SOME PIT is a small group of dedicated pit bull advocates working to improve the lives of
pit bulls in Southern Maine.  Through education, adoption assistance, training, and
events, SOME PIT is working within our local community to aid in responsible bully breed
ownership.

Whether you’re new to the breed or looking for assistance with a bully breed you
currently own, you’ve come to the right place!

Check out our Events page to find out where you can meet us next!

SOME Pit!’s Beginner Train-a-Bull

to help owners and their dogs
build better teamwork.  Using
positive training techniques, the
six-week Beginners class focuses
on the skills that pit bulls and their
owners need in order to become
Breed Ambassadors.

For more information on the
classes please visit our:

life better for pit bulls here in Maine!  We couldn't let this
opportunity pass to introduce you to two SOME Pit! volunteers
that deserve some special attention:

First, meet Aubrey, a long time shelter volunteer and new board
